Conversion features

VW Upfront Passenger has a fully lowered floor throughout. This will ensure excellent visibility when you are sitting in the front and is ideal for taller chair users. The conversion has been designed with exceptional interior space, the width of the conversion is maximised which will accommodate most large wheelchairs.  We pride ourselves on the quality of our conversions, which are designed to blend in with the original vehicle, giving a near seamless finish.

Accessibility

Our rear entry VW Caddy wheelchair accessible vehicle allows you to easily access the vehicle from any parking bay, you don’t actually need a disabled parking space to get in and out. The tailgate and ramp can either be manually or automatically operated depending on your preference.

Automated Tailgate and Ramp

For ease, many of our customers prefer an upfront passenger wav with a fully automated tailgate and ramp option with lowering suspension. No bending or lifting required it will open and close at the touch of a button.

Seating and Storage

As standard, there is one rear passenger seat behind the driver, and space in the rear to fit one or two additional fold-down seats, giving you space for up to five. We can also fit bespoke solutions for shopping and securing equipment.

ENTERING & EXITING THE VEHICLE:

Automated tailgate and ramp

Our exclusive automatic tailgate and ramp system ensures complete ease of use. To access the car simply press a button on the key fob and the tailgate will open quietly and quickly. Once inside the car, press the button on the dashboard, the ramp and tailgate will close automatically leaving you ready to drive away.

Manual ramp

A more economical option for drivers who don’t require any assistance; the manual ramp is bi-folding in order to ensure that it doesn’t obscure rear vision. The ramp has a shallow angle at around 12 degrees and is fitted with a gas strut to make opening and closing as easy as possible.
